Doroga, out for a cruise! Man I have come to love this little guy so damn much. I confess I let him out more than my other scaly bebes as he’s such a pathetic slitherer he can’t really go far, nor does he have legs for random kamikaze leaps into the abyss (ahem, Miss Beardie). I plop him on my desk or on my bed and he pretty much pokes around there until I pluck him up again. Keeps me company, and I don’t have to worry about him wandering off onto the floor.aaaa i kinda want a legless lizard… what are they like? what kind of personalities do they have?
THEY ARE THE MOST AMAZING THINGS oh my gosh I really can’t say enough about scheltys! Other legless lizards I have no idea, but the scheltopusik has completely stolen my heart. Mine is a wily, cheeky little fart that still makes a “fft fft ffft” noise every time someone walks in the room or reaches into his cage. He doesn’t ever try to bite, and in fact is so excited to come out he’ll shoot halfway up your arm if you let him, but I always get puffed at when I first go in to say hello. He’s extremely responsive to his surroundings to the point that a new neighbor upset him for a week. I could talk about these guys forever but yeah! If you do decide to get one I promise boatloads of fun once it tames down.

Are you ready for the laziest coloring job I have ever done in my life??
I was about 3/5ths done with this sketch when I suddenly got a bad hankering to slop it up in PS. There are some areas I don’t much care for but I think I like it, mostly! Been a long time since I’ve colored anything remotely like this. I need to practice more.
The four bozos pictured are some of my Skyrim characters. These guys in particular I play as bandits, and while they’ll obviously never meet, I like to imagine they were a nice little coven of vagabonds before they got split up.

Was scrounging for stuff to make a small sketchdump, figured this was okay on its own. One of my last few pieces before I switched to sketching in colored pencil. I really do not miss lead at all haha.
Biyani knew just what to get me for my birthday
Last year was difficult. Things will get more difficult. It was, however, a good year for worldbuilding on my end. Many things got shuffled around that were looong overdue for shuffling. Much is still up in the air, but that’s part of the fun. Teddie shall kiss it all better in the end.

I know I haven’t posted since the late jurassic but I have to talk about this because I’m still freaking out. Please meet Beleza, who was an early Christmas present from my parents!
Brazilian rainbow boas are goddamn gorgeous snakes, probably one of the most beautiful animals in the world. It’s tough to capture on camera but they have a stunning iridescence that grows with age, along with their red color (hopefully—reports on that one seem to vary). Of course I think all my bebes are lovely but it’s really tough putting Bel away, haha. All I want to do is staaaaare at the rainbows. But she’s a sweet little thing, took her all of five days to decide “yeah, I got this” and get to coasting around on her own outside the cage like she owns the place. She doesn’t even flinch if you touch her head.
Doroga, on the other hand, is highly vexed by his sudden neighbor. For the first week he basically lived in that corner to glare with all his lizardy might at the new arrival. I could tell when she was exploring, because Doroga would start banging around his cage, trying to climb up and get a better view. Little dork has since calmed down but he still takes time out of his daily rounds to give her the stinkeye.
I hope all your holidays were equally joyous!
Honestly, Serkov, those things are bad enough for us with lungs.
